The Blessedness of Silence

You don't always have to fill in the silence with words. Sometimes it is wiser to let your silence speak for itself. In our day of constant noise, easy access and constant communication, we forget the gift of silence.

Our lives become so filled with activities and opportunities that we cease to live a life of quiet strength that comes when we comune with God. The world looks upon us for answers and solutions, and all we offer them is more activity to drown out their lonliness and darkness. If God's children could only understand that people are drawn to those who have a quietness and gentlenss of spirit about them.
We can have the greatest impact upon others when they see in us the Spirit of Christ. God's Holy Spirit is a spirit of gentleness, meekness and self-control.

Our lives don't have to be in constant action. We need only to work and live one day at a time asking Christ to reveal Himself to others in our life. The greatest gift is the gift to influence and impact people. Live for Christ and let your life speak for itself.
