We either live by the truth or we live with a lie.
There is not much middle ground when it comes to the standard by which we live. God commands us to follow his example. Therefore as our Lord Jesus Christ was the very essence of truth Himself, we need to live a life that is honest and above reproach for the glory of God!
We also must be wary of Satan's attempts to counterfeit God's truth with a lie. We may be tempted to live a double standard or comform to whomsoever we are around. But Christ himself was unchanging in his holiness and righteousness.He was attacked and mocked by the religious crowd of his day. It isn't always easy to live truthfully, but it is better to suffer for righteousness sake, then to reap the consequences of being found a liar.
